Dolores "Nanette" ChancellorDolores “Nanette” Chancellor, 70 of Athens, passed away on Monday, September 26th, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Chancellor was born on August 1st, 1952, to Charles Richard and Dolores Steele Clark.

Mrs. Chancellor is survived by her husband Derek R. Chancellor; sons Shawn Chancellor (Bonnie) of Amarillo, TX., and Kevin Chancellor (Laurie) of Anderson, AL.; daughter Megan Hyman (Shayne) of Enola, AR.; grandchildren Colby Miller (Logan), Emily Runions (Conley), Abbygail Chancellor, Macy Chancellor, Micah Chancellor, Abel Chancellor, Chloe Chancellor, and Avery Hyman; brother Ricky Clark; and sisters Paulette Daniel and Charlette McDaniels.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Mrs. Chancellor will be Friday, September 30th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Bill Hall officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 29th, from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Athens City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Chancellor, Shawn Chancellor, Ricky Clark, Curtis Liverett, Tim Johnson, and Michael Gauntey.

Mrs. Chancellor was a loving wife for 50 years, a loving and caring mother of 3, and a grandmother of 8. She was an avid gardener, a bird watcher, and secret artist. She was a faithful Christian, a wonderful homemaker, and a faithful example of a virtuous woman.
