Mayburn Edward Foster Jr. Mayburn Edward “Eddie” Foster, Jr., age 73, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Eddie was born on April 12, 1949, to the late Mayburn Edward Foster, who passed in 1986, and Dorothy Allen Foster, who passed in 2011, in Columbia, Tennessee.

The Maury County native was a graduate of Culleoka High School in 1967. Eddie was very involved in extracurricular activities, like the FFA, Beta Club, and even Class President. Eddie valued education and continued his education, earning his degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1972.

Eddie was a man that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Being outdoors and being around water is where Eddie found his peace. He loved the early, brisk mornings of hunting and the calm still waters when fishing. Some of Eddies most cherished times are fishing with his best friend, Charlie, and jug fishing and wading in the creek with his family. Eddie was a proud American and Tennessean, and a tried-and-true fan of the Tennessee Volunteers, never missing their Saturday games. His faithful companion, PeeWee, was always by his side. Every morning they had their daily ritual of getting a sausage biscuit with his precious, PeeWee.

If you knew Eddie, you knew you were in for a good story. Eddie loved telling tall tales that would reel you in, and with his witty sense of humor, he could get anyone to believe him. With his fun, playful nature, you could always find him plotting his next prank. Eddie was truly one-of-a-kind.

Above all else, Eddie treasured his family and all the people in his life.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Edward Foster, Chad Foster, and Andrea (David) Poarch; grandchildren: Tristian Shrader, Calan Foster, Jared Foster, Amber Foster, Desiree Foster, C.J. Foster, Colton Foster, Tyler Owens, Taylor Owens, Sean Poarch, and Caiden Poarch; and five great-grandchildren.

The care of Mr. Mayburn Foster and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Williams Funeral Home. To share words of comfort and condolences, please visit. www.williamsfh.com
