Graveside service for Nancy Locker Taylor, age 92, will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Stewart Cemetery in Fayetteville, TN. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Taylor was a native of Lincoln County born on May 8, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Claude and Beulah Lucile Corder Locker and was a 1948 graduate of Central High School in Fayetteville. As a youth, Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. She married the late Ross Taylor on December 5, 1951. They moved to Nashville, TN, where she worked as a front desk clerk at the Ramada Inn, where Ross was the manager. Nancy passed away on September 17, 2022, at Primrose Retirement Community in Kansas City, MO.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Taylor McAdams and her husband Dr. Charles of Kansas City, MO; son, Frank Taylor and his wife Angie of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Ross Edward (Vessi) Taylor of Fishers, IN, Molly Carolyn Taylor (Brian) Pulsipher of Kokomo, IN, James (Erin) McAdams of San Antonio, TX, Kathryn McAdams (Kevin) Meyerhoff of Kansas City, MO and Nicholas Quarterman of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Eve Taylor of Fishers, IN, Sean McAdams of San Antonio, TX and Addison Pulsipher of Kokomo, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Dr. Lynne Taylor; sisters, Ruth Jean Hicks, Juell Franklin, and Rebecca “Becky” Carter; and brothers, Ernest Locker, Jr., Bobby F. Locker, Jim C. Locker, and Jerry Locker.

Our mother’s heart was always in Lincoln County.  She had a love of Hummingbirds, Butterflies and a loving, kind and caring heart.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the local chapter of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library: Imagination Library of Lincoln County, P.O.
