Dwight Fanning, age 82 of Elora, passed away on September 19, 2022 at the Donalson Care Center in Fayetteville. He was born on July 25, 1941 in Elora to the late Santford and Stella (Wallace) Fanning. Dwight worked for the Barbara Coleman Company in Huntsville for fourteen years before he retired from the Lincoln County School System where he worked for twenty-seven years as a Bus Driver. He loved playing the guitar and singing. He also enjoyed listening to George Jones and watching westerns. Dwight will be remembered as man with a kind heart who enjoyed making people laugh. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Florence Head. He is survived by brother, John (Patsy) Fanning of Elora; sister, Ruth (Hallace) Hale of Huntsville; and many other friends and family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 12pm -2pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 2pm in the chapel of Moore-Cortner.
