Vanessia Carol Chafin Keith Vanessia Carol Chafin Keith left the pain and sickness of this world behind at 12:30 PM on September 20, 2022, being handed off by her family to the One she lived to spend eternity with. Vanessia was born on December 10, 1962 and was 59 years old. She loved her family and her extended family of God, her church, and community. Her gift of hospitality was enjoyed by so many and she was happiest serving others.

Vanessia was preceded in death by her parents, O.D. and Edna Chafin. Grandparents, Ellis and Mava Murphree, Grandmother, Bertha McLeroy Chafin. Uncle, Herschel Chafin, Aunt Joy Chafin Gurley. She is survived by husband Ricky Keith, Daughter Mary Elizabeth (Lizz) Keith Sumners, and her favorite Grand-Bug, Lacie Lee Sumners, brother Greg Chafin (Kim), Sister, Joslyn Prince. Nephew, Justin Chafin (Somer), great nieces, Dillon and Andee Chafin. Niece, Zoe Chafin. Nephews, Kris Eddins, Nathan and Ian Prince. Cousins Gilda Chafin Stricklin and Ginger Stricklin McClendon (Shannon) and Juanita McLeroy Perry (David)

Vanessia always said she didn’t want a traditional funeral or memorial service or a “cry-fest” so as a celebration of life, we are going to honor her wishes with a come & go Memorial Pic-Nic at Pulaski Assembly of God (105 Owl Hollow Rd. Pulaski, TN 38478) Sunday afternoon, September 25 from 3-5 PM. One of the last things Vanessia said was that she missed seeing all the children running and playing at church, so come casual for a time of remembrance and celebration.

Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements for Vanessia Carol Chafin Keith.
