Litha Bernice Atchley Miller Funeral services for Litha Bernice Atchley Miller, age 88, of Crane Hill, will be on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 11:00 at New Canaan Baptist Church in Union Hill with Brother Robert Cruise and Brother Eldridge Criscoe officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20th from 6:00-8:00 at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller passed away peacefully at her home on September 17, 2022. She was born on May 5, 1934, to James Richard and Alice Smith Atchley. She lived in the Union Hill community of Morgan County for over 45 years before moving with her son to the Crane Hill community in Cullman County.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pruitt Felton Miller, her granddaughter, Kimberly Miller Coleman, her parents and siblings, Edna Mae Martin, Harold Atchley, Andrew Atchley, and Mary Alice Watkins.

She is survived by 7 children, 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grand-children, and 2 siblings. Children: Ricky (Deleane) Miller of Soddy Daisy, TN; Carol (Mark) Taylor of Crane Hill; Sharon (Rockie) Knighten of Union Hill; Jan (Bobby) Daugette of Somerville; Randy Miller of Crane Hill; Cynthia (Rodney) Hawkins of Holly Pond; and JoAnne (Leslie) Woodall of Eva. Grandchildren: Brian Miller, Lindsey Miller; Lee (Summer) Gibson, Julie (Shane) Raper, Casey Gibson, Justin (Chloe) Taylor, Stephanie Hallmark; Jeremy Knighten, Matthew (Tiffany) Knighten; Cliff (Whitney) Daugette, Ashley (Anthony) Clemons; Jessica Otwell (Jackie Lombardi); Joey Hawkins, Kelsey (Adam) Smith; Steton Woodall, and Bailee Woodall. Great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Hannah, Leah, Abby, and Ethan Miller, Caleb Coleman & Sadie Tweed; Lana Gibson, Christopher Raper, Nicole, Alissa, and Colton Gibson, Lexie Hallmark, Ivy and Olivia Taylor; Jacob (Raven) Knighten, Mack, Conner, Jack, and Jude Knighten, Trevor, Gavin, and Ivy Knighten; Maddie Daugette, Mary Beth Clemons; Case Otwell, Jennifer Leamer, David, James, John, and Noah Lombardi; and Calvin Smith. Great-great grandchildren: Greyson and Karson Knighten. Siblings: Juanita Duffey and Douglas Atchley.

Mrs. Miller was a long-time member of New Canaan Baptist Church in Union Hill, AL, where she taught the 4 & 5 year old Sunday School class for many years. She participated in many youth mission trips where she cooked the meals and pitched in wherever she was needed. She retired from Wayne Farms as a USDA poultry inspector in 1995 and opened Nanny’s Country Pleasures in Somerville, where she sold many of her handmade paintings, wreaths, flower arrangements, and other unique crafts. Mrs. Miller was an avid traveler and was blessed to visit Canada, Mexico, and all 50 states with her daughters, siblings, and special friends from the Goode Family. She was known for her kindness, quick smile, generous spirit, and love for God.
