Frances Ophelia Welborn, age 83, of Phil Campbell, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
Frances was a Christian, and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She was an accountant and had filed taxes for many people over the years. She was a loving wife of 66 years to Grady, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Grady Welborn; sons, David Welborn (Melanie), Terry Welborn (Martha), Jerry Welborn (Kristy); brother, Jimmy Messer (Linda) of Tanner; grandchildren, April Simpson, Andrew Welborn, Daniel Welborn, Riley Welborn, Hannah Welborn; great grandchildren, Khloie Simpson, Kylee Welborn, Paige Simpson, Cohl Welborn, Maddie Welborn, Harper Welborn, Teegan Welborn and Ryann Welborn; as well as a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank C. Messer and Myrtle Pugh Messer; brothers, Charles Messer and Royce Messer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Mountain View Baptist Church in Phil Campbell, Alabama from 2pm-4pm with the funeral following at 4pm. Bro. Sammy Taylor and Bro. Daniel Welborn will officiate. Interment will be in the cemetery adjacent to the Church.
