Funeral service for Wanda Jean Jackson Wiley, 86, of Danville will be on Tuesday September 20, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Enon Baptist Church. The family will have a visitation from 12:00 PM until 12:45 PM at the church. Burial will follow the service in Enon Cemetery.

Mrs. Wiley was born in Lawrence County to John Wilbur Jackson (deceased)  and Madeline Sullivan Jackson on June 20, 1936 . She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby O’neal Wiley, her grandparents John Preuit and Maude Lee (McCaghren) Sullivan, William Henry and Annie Penola (McCarty) Jackson.

Survived by: Mother Madeline Jackson, Daughter Vanessa Leigh Wiley Talley (Donald), Son Bobby Johns Wiley (Diane). Grandsons, 3 great grandsons, 1 great  granddaughter. A host of cousins and friends.

Mrs. Wiley was an active member of Enon Baptist  Church for 72 years (August 1946). Pianist and Organist for 66 plus years, Church Clerk many years. Junior choir and adult choir. Jean enjoyed bringing her great grandson Cooper to church with her. Jean worked for Quaker Oats Co. for twelve and half years. Worked in school systems, East Lawrence, Lawrence County High, Moulton Middle, Grace Baptist, and Calhoun College for 38 years and retired in 2010.

Pallbearers are Cooper, Ryker, Logan Talley, Hunter Talley, Austin Talley, Tim Curtis, Wayne Johnson, Hoyt McCaghren, Cullie Johnson, Kenny “Frog” Johnson.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course and I have completed my race. Remember friends as you pass by, as you are now so once was I. As I am now, you soon may be, prepare for death and follow me to heaven.
