Louise Wright Brannan, 85, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on September 14, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, George Wright, and her parents, Nina and Ray Bishop.  Mrs. Wright is survived by her sister, Shirley Plattenburg; husband, Dr. E.R. Brannan; children, Ernie Wright (Amy) and Dwight Wright; grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel Wright; and niece Sonya Sisk (Charles).

Mrs. Wright was a faithful Christian and an active member of the Madison Church of Christ.  She was a devoted wife and mother who served her family well.  As a teacher for Huntsville City Schools, Mrs. Wright positively influenced her students for more than thirty years.  She loved being outdoors, tending her beautiful flowers, and caring for her family. She had a generous heart and loved the Lord. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them” Rev 14:13.

Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville.  Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Maple Hill Cemetery with Bro. Brandon Pressnell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity or to the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation.
