Jimmy Harold Higginbottom, 77 passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Helen Keller Hospital.  He was born in Itawamba County, MS to Leon and Virginia Smith Higginbottom.  He attended school at Banner and Fairview where he enjoyed playing basketball. The love of basketball continued as he enjoyed watching the Belmont girls, coached by his nephew, Chris Higginbottom. He installed floor covering for many years and then retired from Tiffin Motor Homes after 14 years.  Jimmy was a member of Pleasant Site Church of Christ until services were no longer held there and then was a member of Second Street Church of Christ.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Bama Bass Club where he was named Angler of the Year in 1986, 1988, 1992 and 1994. He loved spending time with his family especially his three grandchildren. He enjoyed carrying them fishing, riding his four-wheeler, watching them play sports and was thrilled when Jacob, at age ten, killed his first deer, an eight point, last year. After his retirement, he enjoyed his days working in his yard, watching the deer, the birds and the squirrels.  He will be missed by all his family and friends.
