Margie Nell Jones Aycock Margie Nell Jones Aycock, age 79, of Phil Campbell, passed away after an extended illness on Friday, September 02, 2022, at her residence.

Margie was a member of Gravel Hill Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a good Christian lady, who loved her family very much.  She loved to cook and was often seen taking care of the gardens and the chickens.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hugh Don Jones; grandson, Mitch Bryant Mitchell; parents, Floyd & Wynona (Hall) Swinney; siblings, Margaret Welborn, Trixie Pennington, Boyd Swinney, and baby sister.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 27 years, Wallace Aycock; children, Sherry Voyles (David), Cindy Mitchell (Mitch), Barry Jones (Kim), Wally & Marsha Aycock, Lisa & Earl Lenz; grandchildren, Andy Jones, Aaron Voyles (Jennifer), Adam Mitchell (Laurie), Kayla Loden (Cody), Austin Jones (Ashton), Alaina James (Hunter), Jessica Reid (Austin), Matt Aycock (Kelley), Brett Aycock; great-grandchildren, Liam, Cameron, & Wesley Jones; Laken & Jace Mitchell, Ansleigh Mitchell, Hannah Claire Loden, Layla James, and soon to arrive, Auden Jones; siblings, Owen & Joyce Swinney, Lona Mauk, Harold & Glenda Swinney, Wayne & Betty Swinney; and a host of nieces & nephews.

The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 06, 2022, at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Eric Swinney and Bro. Jason Swinney speaking at the service.  Burial will be at Old Line Cemetery in Hodges.

The pallbearers will be Andy Jones, Aaron Voyles, Adam Mitchell, Matt Aycock, Brett Aycock, Cody Loden, and Hunter James.  The honorary pallbearers will be Liam Jones, Cameron Jones, and Wesley Jones.

The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to Phil Campbell Ambulance, Alabama Hospice of the Shoals, Helen Keller Home Health of Red Bay, Davita Dialysis Center of Russellville, Helen Keller Hospital, and North Alabama Medical Center for the love and care shown to our family.  Also we want to thank the many friends and family for your visits, food, cards, and most importantly, your prayers.
