Deborah (Rains) Stephens was born on August 2, 1952. She was the 2nd child of Helen Rains and Ellis Rains. Deborah passed away on August 14, 2022 at the age of 70 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. She graduated from Franklin County High School in 1970. She married Jimmy Stephens in 1971 and was a housewife of two children. Stephanie (Stephens) Hill and Nathan Lance Stephens. Deborah helped raise her one grandchild, Mackenzie Hill. She was very loved, cherished and admired by her family and friends. Deborah was a selfless, devoted mother and wife enjoyed cooking, walks with her family, playing with her fur kids, family vacation at the beach, and eating endless shrimp. She is survived by her children, Nathan Lance Stephens and Stephanie (Stephens) Hill; granddaughter, Mackenzie Hill; sister, Pam Creswell; brother-in-law, Mike Creswell; daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Stephens; and nephew, Michael Shawn Winton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 1pm-2pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 2pm in the chapel of Moore-Cortner. Interment will be held at Franklin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, The Wounded Warrior Foundation or 2nd Harvest Food Bank.
