Randell TiceRandell Tice, 74, passed away on August 10, 2022, while surrounded in love by Ryan and Amanda Tice and Teresa Shewbart.

Randell was born on May 3,1948, in Adrian, Michigan to Pauline Casey and Odell Tice. Randell graduated from Hamilton High School in 1966. As a Sergeant in the United States Army, Randell served two tours in Vietnam, earning several awards including an air medal for meritorious achievement while participating in sustained aerial flight in support of ground forces and a purple heart for injury sustained while his helicopter was under attack.

Randell attended the University of Alabama, earning a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration one month before his son Ryan was born. Randell worked with several organizations, including Beech Aircraft (Wichita, KS), Lockheed Corporation (Marietta, GA), and the State of Georgia Department of Industrial Relations.

Randell enjoyed hunting; vintage and exceptional automobiles; music, especially Motown and 70s rock; and history and classic movies.

Randell attended Mount Paran Church in Georgia and after moving to Alabama continued his bible study weekly through Dr. Charles Stanley’s ministry. Randell was a longtime supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and engaged in private philanthropy with a friend, together purchasing and donating high quality guitars to youth.

Randell’s greatest happiness and center of his pride was being a father to his son Ryan. He served as best man to Ryan when he married Amanda Clement Tice at Aldridge Gardens in Hoover. In recent years, Randell attended Talladega with Ryan and friends and enjoyed his trips to Tupelo with Ryan. He traveled to the Georgia mountains with Teresa to visit his close friend Jimmy Lowell (Tricia) Williams. Randell also enjoyed sitting on his front porch with friends. This year, Randell adopted a miniature schnauzer named Winston “Bruiser,” who brought him much joy and companionship.

Randell was preceded in death by his mother Pauline (Jay) Casey Tice Webb and father Odell Tice.

Randell leaves behind his son Ryan (Amanda) Tice; siblings Woodrow (Donna) Tice, Charlene (Terry) Tice Davis, Joe (Amy) Tice; aunt Corine “Tootsie” Bobo; and special friend Teresa Shewbart.
