Roger Mack Keyes Roger Mack Keyes, 75 of Athens, passed away on Thursday, August 4th, 2022, at Madison Hospital. Mr. Keyes was born on December 12th, 1946, to Edgar “Ned” and Floyce Pepper Keyes.

Mr. Keyes is survived by his wife Jenny Keyes; children Robin James (Jeremie), Roxanne Reynolds (Damon), and Glenn Cluxton (Joan); brother Sam Keyes; grandchildren Hayden Clem, Cason Clem (Hannah), Waylon Cluxton (Nicole), Heath Cluxton (Christina), Alysha Kelley (Chris), Haley Haggermaker (Patrick), Brantley Haggermaker, Joseph Haggermaker, and Billy Haggermaker; and great-grandchildren Briar Cluxton, Koltyn Culley, and Emma Stephens.

Preceded in death by his parents Edgar “Ned” and Floyce Keyes; brother Tony Keyes; and granddaughter Taylor Haggermaker.

Funeral services for Mr. Keyes, with full military honor, will be Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Michael Blakely and Doug Colwell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00-1:45pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cason Clem, Hayden Clem, Waylon Cluxton, Jeremie James, Thomas Haggermaker, and Mike Bates. Honorary pallbearers will be Heath Cluxton, Brantley Haggermaker, Billy Haggermaker, Ronald Pepper, Bill Keyes, and Johnny Keyes.

Roger was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved raising animals on the farm. He enjoyed auctioneering, gardening, and playing the lottery. He was a retired carpenter with the local union 1209, worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority, retired twice from the National Guard, and retired from the Army. He is a 1966 graduate of East Limestone High School.
