Larry Wayne Cox Mr. Larry Wayne Cox, 72, of Middleton, passed from this life Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in Memphis.

Mr. Cox was born May 16, 1950 to Oliver and Dorothy Flatt Cox in Selmer, TN. He graduated from Selmer High School in 1968 and was drafted soon into the U. S. Army. He served until his father passed and was discharged to come home and support his mother. Not long afterward, he moved to Hardeman County where he lived the rest of his life with the small exception of a few years in Memphis. An electrician and plumber, he worked for Ricky Ayers and also Bolivar Electric Department, prior to working as a shipping clerk at ThyssenKrupp. He married Wanda Sue Ledford on November 24, 1984, they were together 27 years before her passing on April 17, 2012. Mr. Cox was a member at Pocahontas First Baptist Church. He enjoyed his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Survivor include two daughters, Faralee Garland and husband John of Arlington, TN and Ashley Dixon of Collierville, TN; three grandchildren, Olivia Garland, Landry Garland, and Kinleigh Dixon; a brother-in-law, Dale Ledford and wife Martha; a sister-in-law, June Cox and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Alton Cox; a sister Dottie Isbell; and a son-in-law Jason Dixon.
