George Tanner Vail Jr.Mr. George Tanner Vail Jr., 74, died July 28, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.
Mr. Vail was born August 24, 1947, in Binghamton, NY. He is preceded in death by his father George Tanner Vail Sr, his mother Inez (née Splann) Vail, a sister Kathryn Clarke, and brother Edward Vail.

He served in the US Army SP 4 clerk typist receiving an honorable discharge during the Vietnam era. He enjoyed playing music (drummer) with his musical friends. He was a welder, construction worker, and auto parts delivery driver. He enjoyed photography and sharing his pictures with his Facebook friends. He also enjoyed his furry four-legged friends Black Pepper, Ivy and Toffee.

Survivors include wife Beverly Kimbrough Vail of Pulaski, stepson Carl Garner (Lourinda) of Goodspring, stepdaughter Kim Skow, 6 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, brother-in law James Clarke, niece Allison Clarke-Shubilla (Keith), nephews James Clarke (Michelle), George Clarke (Carmella), and Rev. Brian Clarke all of PA, nephew Michael Vail (Chris), niece Robin Quintana (Steven) all of CO, nephew Vincent Vail (Maria), niece Teri Olsen (Steve) of NM, and several great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 3 at 11am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Pulaski, Tn with Rev. Brian Clarke officiating. Interment will be at the Stella Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stella Cemetery Fund, c/o Sandra Parsons, 2835 Hagan Road, Minor Hill, TN, 38473, Giles County Humane Society, Giles County Public Library or the charitable organization of your choice.
