Samuel Clint “Sam” Glossup, 93 of Ardmore, Alabama passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama. “Sam” was born in Pulaski, Tennessee on Monday, January 14, 1929 to Robert Allen Glossup and Laura Lee Bailey Glossup.
“Sam” has lived in Ardmore since 1968 and was of the Methodist faith. He had a love of his horses, training and racing them. He also loved his dog “Buddy” and walking in the park.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Coggin Glossup, of Ardmore, AL; sons, Sam (Sarah) Glossup, Jr and Dale Anderson both of Ardmore, AL; daughters, Ginger Blackwell of Ardmore, AL and Sally (Rod) Richardson of Huntsville, AL; brothers, Carl (Jean) Glossup of Pulaski, TN and Joe (Colleen) Glossup of Florida; sisters, Glenda (Denton) Simmons and Peggie Farrar both of Pulaski, TN; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL with a Graveside Service following at Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL at 11:00 AM.
Pallbearers will be Pat Ballew, Brian Blackwell, Milad Ossooli, Rod Richardson, Scotty Williamson, and Kolton Blackwell.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations are requested made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
