Jerry “Wayne” Daly, 73, of Prospect, Tennessee passed away at his home Sunday, July 31, 2022. Wayne was born Thursday, August 12, 1948 in Athens, Alabama to the late Loyd Ashford Daly and Mamie Evelyn Dixon Daly.
Wayne has lived most of his life in the Ardmore area and was a member of Mable Hill Baptist Church. He loved the University of Tennesse and Tennessee Titans football, nascar racing, fishing, his horses, cattle, puppies (Buster and Cooper), and his many barn cats. But most of all he loved people.
He is survived by his daughters, Nikki (Matt) Abernathy of Athens, AL and Cassie (Darren) Buford of Ardmore, TN; son, Cad (Ashley) Daly of Pulaski, TN; brother, Ted (Angie) Brooks of Ardmore, AL; sisters, Rachel Foster of Athens, AL and Darla Daly of Elkton, TN; special friend, Frances Ferguson; grandchildren, Tyler Martin, Emilee Daly, McKenzie Storey, Megan Daly, Drew Daly, Will Abernathy, Preston Mayberry, Case Daly, and Ella Abernathy; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL with Bro. Derrick Moose officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery.
