ATHENS-Athens Farmers Market is a certified Alabama Farmer’s Market. The market season runs each Saturday from June thru August, 8:00am – Noon and each Tuesday from May thru September 7:00 – Noon.
Athens Farmers Market was started to support local agriculture and increase economic opportunities for farmers, small businesses, and artisans; to educate and provide access to healthy local foods; and to build a vibrant gathering place for Athens residents and visitors!
The Quad Cities Daily took a little trip to the Athens Farmers Market to get some homegrown vegetables, some fresh honey and to here some awesome tunes.
