Lamonica Marie Lee
July 31, 1970 ~ July 20, 2022 (age 51)

Ms. Lee transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at her residence in Florence, Alabama.

LaMonica Marie Lee, 51, of Florence, AL, peacefully passed away on July 20, 2022 at home with her family, after a courageous battle with Cancer.

LaMonica was born July 31st 1970 to Henry Lee Jr. and Jacqueline Manciel in Detroit, MI. While spending part of her childhood in Fort Worth, TX and Germany, she established herself as a high school graduate, Certified Nursing Assistant, worked in Cosmetic Trade and an Owner of the small business “Mugs and Scrubs”.

Through many talents, her hobbies were reading, journaling, arts & crafts, especially shopping. With the love to care for others, many of her friends and family have enjoyed her famous lasagna, chili, BBQ meatballs, greens, and chicken casserole.

LaMonica loved her family and friends and struggled to accept them fussing over her. As this sickness ravaged her body, she exuded strength and support to those who surrounded her. Her love, loyalty and commitment to care for others never wavered, even when she was in need of the care. Determined, LaMonica fought the attack on her body, without complaint, without quitting, and yet continued to be compassionate, using words of encouragement and embracement, to all of those who surrounded her. These are her gifts she naturally shared with others, despite her pain. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.

Her beautiful soul will live on in all of those she leaves behind…

LaMonica is survived by her mother, Jacqueline Manciel (Michael), father, Henry Lee (Karen) daughter, Leslie Lee-Pittman (Leslie “JR”), son, Logan Lee (Shanekia”Boobie”), Siblings: Marquita Manciel, Tanishia Manciel, Michael Manciel (Jennifer) Mechelle Manciel (Kendrick), Tamisha Lee, Melonie Manciel (Dontae) Grandchildren: London Pittman, Preston Lee, Layla Pittman and Sebastian Pittman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

LaMonica was greeted in heaven by her Grandmother Eunisteen, Grandfather Giving Jones, Grandfather Henry Lee Sr., Aunt Sharon Jones, Cousin James Arnold, Aunt Rachel Hurt and Uncle James Hurt.

We are asking that you please keep the Lee Family in your prayers.
