Verdell LedgewoodVerdell Ledgewood, 82, of Savannah, Tennessee, died Friday, July 15, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Ledgewood was a U. S. Army veteran and was retired from Ingraham Barge Company where he worked as a riverboat captain. He loved fishing and running his trotlines. He also loved to spend time with his special family, Noah Pipes, Savyon Pipes, McKinley Davis, and Braxton Davis. He is survived by two daughters, Heather Ledgewood-Gutierrez of Las Vegas, NV, and Michelle Ledgewood of Savannah, TN; his step-daughter and caregiver, Jaunita Harville of Savannah, TN, two step-sons, James Harville and Eddie Harville; one sister, Laura Bell Robinson of Iuka; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his significant other of 45 years, Dorothy Fraiser; his parents, Christopher Columbus “Lum” Ledgewood and Erma Robinson Ledgewood; and his siblings, Louise Spangler, Emogene Bullard, J. C. Ledgewood, Leroy Ledgewood, Wanda Syler, and Faynell Davis. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 21, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Ernie Cordova. Interment will follow in Corinth National Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chris Davis, Jesse Spangler, McKinley Davis, Noah Pipes, Savyon Pipes, and Brandon Short. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Thursday
