Joe Neal Wagoner of Selmer, TN Joe Neal Wagoner was born December 16, 1946 to the late Enloe and Dorothy Wagoner of Selmer, TN in the Lawton Community. Our precious Joe departed this life Sunday June 26, 2022 at the age of 75 Years, 6 Months, 10 Days.
Joe was a member of the 101st Airborne Infantry 187 Division, where he proudly served his country in Vietnam from 1969-1970.
On August 31, 2002, Joe married the love of his life Belinda Green Wagoner. They have spent the last 19 years building a loving Christian home for their family. Joe was not only a loving husband, he was a super hero to his three sons, Joseph (Joey), Daniel and Jacob, and a proud Pop Pop to his beautiful granddaughter Madison. To know Joe was to love Joe.
Joe was diagnosed with ALS in June of 2020 and although it may have taken his voice and his ability to move, it did not take away his strength on the inside as a husband, father, Pop Pop, uncle and friend. His love for his family shined like the brightest star in his eyes and everyone knew his concerns were always for them not himself. Before Joe’s illness he was a big outdoors man. He enjoyed gardening, flying remote control air planes, going camping at the river with his beautiful wife and of course anyone that knew him, knew what an avid deer hunter he was. He could do or fix anything and loved being on his ham radio also.
Joe will be missed by his fur babies Rusty and Ruger. He was loved by and will be greatly missed by his caregivers, Missy Ferrell and Sonya Neher.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Belinda Wagoner; sons: Joseph (Joey) Wagoner of Ramer, TN, Daniel Hopper (Lauren) of Jackson, TN, Jacob Hopper of Bethel Springs, TN; granddaughter, Madison Hopper; three sisters: Carolyn Grooms of Colliersville, TN, Nancy Morris of Adamsville, TN and Martha Rodgers of Counce, TN; along with a host of extended family and friends.
