Ms. Lucille Austin Hart Mrs. Lucille Austin Hart, age 96, passed away early Thursday at Westwood Healthcare in Decaturville. She was born January 23, 1926 in Henderson County to the late John Robert and Annie Finley Bailey. She worked alongside her first husband, Mr. Boyd Austin, at Austin Service Station at Reagan Crossing, was a substitute bus driver, and later on worked at Salant/Salant. She was also a homemaker and a long-time baby sitter for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved outside work, especially gardening. She also loved to piece quilts and each of her grandchildren received 5 handmade quilts. Her life revolved around her family, including lots of visiting with her brothers and sisters and lots of cooking for Wednesday night suppers. She was a long-time member of Union Hill Baptist Church and very active as long as she was able. Mrs. Lucille was preceded in death by three husbands, Mr. James Boyd Austin, Mr. Max Hart, and Mr. Thomas Hart; five brothers, Thomas, Floyd, Fred, Donnie, and Dwight Bailey; two sisters, Axie Harris and Ruby Dyer; a son-in-law, Randy Beecham; and a grandson-in-law, Jonathan Rogers. Survivors include her two daughters, Glenda Britt (Terry) and Phyllis Beecham; two half-sisters, Lavergne Goodrich and Valerie Rhodes; four grandchildren, Angela Renfroe (Mitchell), Trena Moffett (Dennis), Dana Ross (Brian), and Wesley Beecham (Charity); fourteen great grandchildren, Bethany Parker (Josh), Nathan Rogers (Kelli), Tyler Rogers (Danielle), Brittany Butler (Michael), Riley Adams, Winston Edgin (Madison), Ashtin Wood, Blake Wood (Caitlin), Cassidy Rushing, Grant Ross, Hallie Beecham, Lilianna Beecham, Chance Beecham and fifteen great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Union Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday 3-9 PM and on Saturday 10 AM – 1:30 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill.
