Frankie Martin  Bruce Franklin “Frankie” Martin, Jr. was struck and killed by a motor vehicle twelve days after celebrating his 44th birthday. Although Frankie’s time was short, he lived every moment to the fullest and enjoyed the simple things. A great day would include camping, fishing, tinkering on a car, listening to his favorite music and drinking a cold beer. Frankie was born June 2, 1978, to Bruce Franklin Martin, Sr. and Mittie Sue Pettigo Martin. Frankie’s proudest accomplishments were his two children.

He is survived by his children, Krista Martin Birdwell and her husband, B. J., and Kyle Martin all of Portageville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jaxon and Aubrey Birdwell and his wife, Lacey King- Martin of Tupelo. He is also survived by his mother, Sue Martin (Buddy Worley) of Tupelo; one sister, April Martin of Tupelo; two brothers, Zack Worley of Auburn Community, and Skylare Worley of Lake Piomingo; and one special friend, Tommy Chamberlin.

He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Manley and Suzie Martin, and James A. and Sudie Pettigo.

Services honoring Frankie’s life will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
