Cindy Jacobs Plunk Cindy Jacobs Plunk, age 62, of Bolivar, departed this life on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

She was born Wednesday, June 1, 1960 in Bolivar to the late Euland Norris Jacobs and Tommie Sue Sain Jacobs Kirk, who survives. Mr. Jacobs passed away December 6, 1988.

Cindy was a 1978 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and went on to receive her Associates of Arts degree. She married Charles “Chuck” G. Plunk on November 25, 1989 and had worked as a secretary for the USDA Soil Conservation District in Bolivar for 24 years. While there, she received state-wide recognition as Secretary of the Year and organized the county’s yearly convention program. Previously, she had worked at Union University.

She was a member of the Bolivar Cumberland Presbyterian Church and enjoyed traveling to the mountains, to the beach or working on trivia and puzzles. Described by her family as a great wife and mother, she was a steady, hard-working lady.

In addition to her husband of 32 years, she is survived by her daughter, Christen Beguiristain (Michael) of Hendersonville, TN; her mother and step-father, Tommie Sue Kirk (C. W.) of Middleton; two sisters, Angie Farris (Jimmy) of Bolivar and Amy Ragon (Bob) of Jackson; and brother, Chris Jacobs (Beth) of Franklin, TN.
