Doyle Gene Taylor Doyle Gene Taylor, Sr. passed from this life to his heavenly home on Sunday night, June 19, 2022.  He was born on July 12, 1951 to Roy and Mattie Taylor.  He is survived by his wife, Debbie King Taylor; his son Doyle G. Taylor, Jr. and wife Stephanie; his daughter Kim Taylor Franks and husband Kevin; grandchildren Tyler Taylor, Seth Franks, Alexis Taylor and Drake Taylor (they were his pride and joy); his brother Richie Taylor and wife Dianne; and his sister Brenda Flowers.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Roy Taylor, Sr. and Mattie Wells Taylor; his wife of 41 years Sarah Taylor; and his brothers, Roy Taylor Jr. and Steve Taylor.

In November 2017, he married Debbie King Taylor and acquired “bonus children” – Jonathan King and wife Heather, Carmen Poss and husband Jim, Casey King and fiancée Wendy DeVilla, along with seven “bonus grands” – Cole, Will, and Anna Claire King and Jayna, Javan, Asher, and Kingzlee Poss.

Doyle was a Christian and deacon of Rockwood Baptist Church.  He retired a few years ago from his electrician trade.  He was also President of the Board of Trustees of Franklin Electric Cooperative.  He loved to share his love of Jesus to others and tell others to prepare for the end times which are coming according to Bible prophecy.  He loved fishing and hunting; and he shared his love with his children and grandchildren.  He also taught and shared his building and survival skills to his grandsons and his “bonus grands” who loved him dearly.  Whenever he built his cabins, his grandchildren were drafted to help with the building.  Many happy memories were made at his cabins on the lake.  If anyone needed help, they only had to ask; he responded immediately with a smile.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral following at Spry Memorial Chapel.  Officiating at the service will be Bro. Thomas Thornton and Bro. James Pharr.  Pallbearers are Jeff Mathews, Cody Fuller, Bryan Fuller, Brody Logan, Cody Logan, and Grayson Murray.  Honorary pallbearer is Darryl Fuller.  Burial will be at McRight Cemetery.

Doyle’s message to each of us would be to be sure you have placed your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and to partake of the abundant life that Jesus gives.
