Larry Dean Brown, a retired veteran of the U.S. Army, passed away on June 13, 2022 at his Huntsville home with his family by his side. He was a caring son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Larry was born on April 26, 1948, in Guntersville, Alabama to Verbon and Audrey Brown. He graduated from Marshall County High School before serving two enlistments in the U.S. Army, where he honorably served for 21 years achieving the rank of Sergeant Major. After his retirement from the army, he moved to Huntsville, Alabama with his family. Larry loved spending time with his granddaughters, as they constantly put a smile on his face.

Larry is survived by his sons, Garry (Sinakhone) and Terry; granddaughters, Kylee and Maeli; brother, Robert; sister, Angela Rowe (Stephen); sister-in-law, Debbie Brown, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Yong; brother, Verbon; mother, Audrey, and father, Verbon.

The family will be holding a private memorial during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation at alzfdn.org.
