David Woody David Woody, age 64, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 5, 2022. He was born on December 26, 1957, to his loving parents Wallace Woody and Frances and James Hanback in Columbia, TN.
David was better known as “Woody” to everyone he knew. He and his wife, Sheila, owned and operated a daycare in their home for 31 years. The love he had for his kids, grandkids, and his daycare kids was abundant. Woody enjoyed many activities outdoors, horseback riding, camping, and his new love, rzr riding. Horses were his favorite and spent many times on trails with family and friends. He loved all things with Mule Day and has helped with the park for many years. But most of all, Woody was a good man all around, he loved Jesus and would help anyone and everyone without hesitation.
He is survived by his wife: Sheila Putnam Woody; children: Sarah (Michael) Reese, Carson (Chelsea) Woody; grandchildren: Camdyn Reese, and Lane Woody; mother-in-law: Evelyn Putnam; brother: Larry Woody; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law: Harold Putnam.
Woody’s family will be visiting with friends and family on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. to the beginning of the service on Thursday at the Church. A celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Church of Nazarene with Jason Caddy officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be: Carson Woody, Larry Woody, James Woody, Patrick Griffy, Michael Reese, Chris Fields, Shane Bowen, and Colt Putnam.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Mickie Bowen, Josh Wall, Kenny Nix, Jeff Griffy, David Putnam, All Mule Day Committee Members, and Cowboys for Christ.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Culleoka Summer League PO Box 51 Culleoka, TN 38451. Woody’s grandchildren and daycare children will benefit from your generosity.
