Eunice Lorene Dickerson – Obituary

EueniceEunice Lorene Dickerson, age 73 of Addison, entered into rest on February 16, 2013 at Cullman Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born on July 3, 1939 in Jasper, Alabama to Homer C. and Lorene Elmore. Eunice graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in the class of 1957. She was a member of Addison First Baptist Church for many years and was known by most for the many years that she was a substitute teacher. She loved her church family and her friends so very much. Her heart belonged to her daughter, her son-in-law, and her grandsons. She always had encouraging words to everyone and a smile on her face. She touched the lives of everyone with whom she came in contact.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 6-9 at Addison First Baptist Church, where services will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 1pm. She will lie in state from 12-1pm. Brothers Lee Taylor and Kenny Sudduth will officiate. Burial will be in Curry Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Dee Dee Cooper and her husband Tim; brother, Wayne Elmore and his wife Sheila; sister, Doris Ward; she was Gran to 2 grandchildren, Cade Cooper and Chaz Cooper; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Lorene Elmore; brother, Horace Elmore; sisters, June Harris and Louise Colvin.
