Dolores Jean “Dee” Collins, 79, of Rogersville, Alabama passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to  1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 08, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at  1:00 PM on Wednesday, June  8, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home with speaker Butch Wiley officiating.

Born on February 16, 1943 to Roy Young and Odell Moody Young, Dolores enjoyed her family, playing pool, and traveling out west with Butch. Miss Collins fully enjoyed her life to the fullest.

Survivors include her most special friend, Butch Wiley of Oakville; two daughters, Kerri Beth Barnett of Rogersville, Tanya Adams Allen (Marty) of Prospect, TN; one son, Kevin Barnett (Cindy) of Nashville, TN , four grandchildren, Andrew Adams of Oakville, Emma Franks (Darrell) of Killen, Lauren Barnett of Nashville, and Brett Barnett of Nashville; two great-grandchildren, Addilyn Franks, and Alivia Franks; one brother, Mitchell “Butch” Thompson of Lawrenceburg, TN; one sister Pat Thompson Byrd (Jamie) of Pulaski, TN; and one nephew, Mitch Byrd of Florence.

Dolores is preceded in death by her mother, Odell Moody Coningham, father, Roy Young; two step-fathers, Mitchell Thompson, and Grant Coningham; and her beloved granddaughter, Holly DeeAnn Thigpen.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Adams, Marty Allen, Darrell Franks, Jamie Byrd, Mitch Byrd, Brian Legg.

The family extends special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Wounded Warriors Project.
