Lindsey Wayne MaddenMr. Lindsey Wayne Madden, age 88, of Middleton departed this life on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Bolivar General Hospital. Memorial services will be announced at a future date, with a private memorial and interment service being planned for family.

A native of Leflore County, MS, he was the son of the late Linzie P. and Bessie Mae Day Madden. He lived in Memphis for 35 years and worked in the printing industry as a printer and color stripper. He was a member of Porter’s Creek Baptist Church,the Middleton Lions Club, and the Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Madden was a retired US Marine, having served 6 years during the Korean era. He served his community and fellow servicemen both as a member and as Commandant of American Legion Post 198 in Middleton.

He leaves his wife of 42 years, Tsuya Okuno Madden of Middleton, whom he married on April 10, 1981; daughter, Terry Howie (Bennie) of Cordova; son, Gary Lee Patterson (Christy), also of Cordova; seven grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nephew, Rick Madden (Barbara) of Jeffersonville, IN; and former son-in-law, Greg Faulk of Cordova.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Kay Faulk; a sister, Eunice Mae Gaston; and a brother, Thomas Jefferson Madden.
