Funeral Service for Mrs. Helen Moody Waters will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 2:00 pm with John Priola officiating. Entombment with be at Midway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Helen Moody Waters lived a full life. She was born and raised in the Moulton area. She was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ and as long as her health allowed she attended regularly  .She was an entrepreneur. She enjoyed being outside and living on the farm, she enjoyed going to the lake, she loved roses, she loved Cadillacs, and she loved making sure nothing was left on the table after a meal at a restaurant.  She believed in keeping stuff, you never threw anything away because you never knew when you might need something. A quote from Lucille Ball  describes Mrs.Helen  “I’d rather regret the things I’ve done than regret the things I haven’t done.”  She definitely lived life to the fullest.

Many people called her Helen, while others called her Mrs. Waters, or Mrs. Moody but her most proud title was Aunt Helen or just simply MawMaw, because the one thing she loved more than anything was her family.  She loved her sisters and brothers and really enjoyed the 4th of July family reunions.   She loved her two sons Scott and Jackson (also known as Jerry).  While both of them were taken from her way too soon she dearly loved them and missed them both.  She loved her grandkids and great grandkids.  Just mention any of their names and she lit up with pride and joy.  Psalm 127:3-5 says “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.”  She loved her family and truly believed they were a reward from God.

She is survived by numerous family members that loved her dearly and will miss her.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Moody, Sam Moody, Marty Harrison, John Allen, Brandon Allen, Patrick Brazier.
