Keegan McKinley Sanders, age 21 of Huntland, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. He was born on October 10, 2000, in Huntsville, AL to Chris and Caroline Sanders. Keegan had a love for music, he loved to perform and play his guitar. He was also an outdoorsman who liked to hunt and fish. Keegan was currently working on getting his certification to become an HVAC Technician, while working for Alabama Climate Control. He will be remembered as goofy but tendered hearted person who loved his family and friends. Keegan was a former member of the Flintville Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kenneth Sanders and Thomas Thornes; and uncle, Charley James, III. Keegan was survived by his parents, Chris and Caroline Sanders; sister Kailey (Garen) Sellars; grandmothers, Faye Thornes, Faye Crain, Diane Sanders, and Cheryl Blackiston; grandfathers, Charley James I and Derrail Crain; beloved dog, Riley; aunts and uncles, Joe Maccari, Nick Maccari, Madelyn Parish, Jason (Amy) Sanders, Chad (Karen) Sanders, and Daniel (Michelle) Sanders; and several great aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 3:00pm at the Sharon Johnston Park in New Market, AL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Autism Foundation.
