Joseph Ray Ostgard, 28, of Fort Payne, passed away May 12, 2022 at the University Hospital in Birmingham. He was born on July 9, 1993 in Gadsden, Alabama. A 2011 graduate of Fort Payne High School, he worked at Steel Plus as a structural steel detailer.
Mr. Ostgard is survived by his parents, Thomas Joseph Ostgard and Catherine Jones Ostgard; fiancé’, Angel Herring; bonus children, Josslyn Marie and Aaden Rex; bonus niece, Jasper Ann Burt; and grandparents, Terrance Otis and Patricia Jones. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Ole Ostgard and Elizabeth Ann Miller.
The family will be planning a celebration of life at a later date.
