A Celebration of Life Service for Dustin Lain Barnes 38, is set for 11:00 am Monday at Middleton United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Tim Wilbanks and Jody Wilbanks officiating. Burial will follow in the Community Pentecostal Church.

Dustin died at his residence in Nashville, TN. He was born June 24, 1983 in Selmer, TN. to Harold and Sheila Barnes. He was a member of Middleton Pentecostal Church. He was a 2001 graduate of Kossuth High School, and then attended MS State University where he received his BS in Journalism in 2005 and his Masters in 2009. He started his career in the at MS State as editor of The Reflector, worked in West Point, MS. , UMMC in Jackson, MS. and The Clairon Ledger, before moving to Nashville to work for the Tennessean. He was presently the Trending Editor for the USA Today at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Amanda Barnes; maternal grandparents, Clovis and Deannie Rixie; paternal grandparents, H. E. and Margie Barnes.

He is survived by his parents, Harold and Sheila Barnes; brother, Joel Barnes (Lindsay); nephews and nieces, Collin, Dallas, Winter, Arizona; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers, Josh Wilbanks, Josh Russell, Coty Prather, Blake Brady, Marion Bizzell, Tyler Rixie, Ayden Wilbanks.

Family will receive friends Sunday starting at 5:00 pm and going until service time Monday
