Steven Lee Lowder Langford

Steven Lee Lowder Langford, born on August 16, 1958, crossed the bridge to Heaven on May 11, 2022. Steve was a dedicated, hard-working man. Born in Michigan City, Indiana but he knew Itawamba County Mississippi was his home as this is where his Lowder Family resided. Steve was a welder and fabricator for over 20 years at Big Bee Metals where he made many friends. He left Big Bee to be an overhead crane operator at Mueller Copper Tube before transferring to maintenance where he retired. Steve enjoyed playing the guitar all his life and wrote his own songs. He had an artistic touch to him for tattooing and loved fighting the rod and reel to pull in a big catch. Steve will be greatly missed, and his memory will be carried on by his survivors.

He is survived by his wife Joyce “Breezie“ Krause; his mother, Patricia Wilczak (Phillip Mottl); his brothers Michael Langford (Melodie Byrd) and Richard Langford (Teresa Quall); his children, Robert Langford, William Langford (Sarah), Britni Langford, Bradly Langford (Jennifer), Bryley Langford (Kayla) and Damion Langford (Jessica); two stepdaughters, Jessica White (Matt) and April Allred. Steve had been blessed with many grandchildren: Kayleigh, Kyleigh, Alyssa, Makayla, Ily, William Jr, Kaden, Whitney, Levi, Millie, Kinleigh, Micheal, Morgan, Myra, Lilyanna, Brayden, Ryleighanna, Bryson, Chastity, Haley,Carson, and Chloe Bell. Blessed further, he had a great grandchild, Avianna; a special life long friend, Steve Anthony Williams.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wilburn Lowder; his brother, Stevie Michael Lowder; two of his children, Christopher Smith and Haley Michelle Langford; two of his grandkids, Coldyn Lee Langford and Heaven Grace Allred; and his uncle, William Gary Lowder (Uncle Bill).

Services will be private to the family. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Steve’s honor.
