Arts Alive Festival Celebrates 35th Year

FLORENCE-The 35th Arts Alive Festival takes place on Saturday May 21st and Sunday May 22nd 2022 at Wilson Park in Florence, Alabama. Hours are 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.

Arts Alive is dedicated to showcasing the best local and regional artists, and their award-winning work. Artist in the park art market and in the gallery exhibition will be judged for prizes by renowned Montgomery artist Kay Jacoby. The festival features artists specializing in painting, stained glass, jewelry, sculpture, pottery, fiber art, woodwork, photography and much more.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting fellow artists, seeing their work and finding out what inspires them” said Arts Alive 2022 Judge Kay Jacoby.

Admission is free so bring along the whole family for a fun day out in the park. Meet artists while the children create a craft in the Listerhill Credit Union Children’s Art Tent, find one-of-a-kind treasures and grab a limited-edition festival t-shirt. This anniversary celebration also features fabulous food from a variety of food trucks and local vendors.

The Arts Alive festival is an annual fine arts and crafts event in Florence. The festival is run by a group of volunteers from the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts to raise money for children’s art programs and to provide scholarships to area art teachers. The center is located at 217 E. Tuscaloosa St, Florence, AL. 35630.
