EVANSVILLE, IN-Casey White, 38 and former Lauderdale County Correction Officer Vicky White ended their nearly two week life on the run in Evansville, Indiana.

On Monday afternoon Casey white was taken into custody after a short pursuit that ended in with Casey White in handcuffs and Vicky White, who was driving the Cadillac shot herself.

According to Dave Wedding the Vanderburgh County Sheriff Vicky White succumbed to the self-inflicted gunshot wound later on Monday evening. It has been reported that Casey White offered no resistance and was injured but not very seriously.

The entire pursuit took less than a few minutes.

It appears that the two had been in Evansville for at least six days.  Authorities were tipped off that the two were driving a vehicle that matched the one that was involved in the pursuit.

It has also been reported that members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were with local law enforcement when the call was received that the vehicle had been spotted near the Vanderburg County Sheriff’s office.

The two fled and the pursuit began when the fugitives went a short distance on U.S, 41 North, then turned on to Burch Park Drive, cutting through a grassy area when authorities intercepted them and collided with the vehicle near a ditch.
