LAUDERDALE COUNTY-The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department has issued an update on information pertaining to escaped inmate Casey White and Corrections Officer Vicky White
“[LAUDERDALE COUNTY UPDATE/RECAP] An arrest warrant has been issued for corrections officer Vicky White, who Laud Co Sheriff Rick Singleton says assisted in the escape of Casey White, the convicted murderer who was held in the Lauderdale County jail as he was awaiting trial on another murder case. Both subjects have warrants in relation to this escape and are considered to be ARMED & DANGEROUS. They are thought to have hand guns, and possibly a shot gun and an AR-15 rifle. They are believed to be traveling in a copper or orange colored 2007 Ford Edge SUV. It is unknown if the vehicle has a tag or not.
Authorities say Corrections Deputy Vicki White had turned in her retirement papers Thursday and sold her house two weeks ago. Both have been missing since Friday when she claimed to be transporting the inmate for a mental evaluation which had never been scheduled. This was all the plan to arrange the escape and drive to where the get away car was parked in a Florence shopping center. Corrections Officer Vicki White had been employed at the sheriffs department for 17 years.
If anyone has information about the case please dial 911 and speak to local officers who can get you in touch with the officers working the case. DO NOT APPROACH these subjects. They are considered extremely dangerous.”
