June Ward Wadsworth

June Ward Wadsworth, 92, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in Huntsville, Alabama.

Born in July, 1929, in Prattville, Alabama, she was the daughter of Arvel and Vera Ward and had a younger brother, James Ward, all of whom preceded her in death.

She married McQueen Smith Wadsworth in October, 1947.   As an Army family, they were stationed in numerous places within the United States, Germany, and Turkey.  In 1987, they retired to Anniston, Alabama, where she was an active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.  McQueen passed away in 1998, and June moved to Huntsville, Alabama, in 2014.

June is survived by her children Michael Wadsworth, Deborah Wadsworth, Daniel Wadsworth (Susan), Stephen Wadsworth, David Wadsworth (Katrina), Jennifer Moore (Michael); her grandchildren Eric Wadsworth (Samantha), Christopher Wadsworth (Heather), Laura Wadsworth Carter (Evan), Amanda Wadsworth, Nick Wadsworth (Kayla), Lauren Wadsworth, Alexander Pace (Andrea), Keith Pace, and Michael Moore, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a multitude of great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29, at 1:30 p.m. at Prattville Memorial Chapel and Memory Gardens, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.

A believer in Christ, June found comfort and hope in His eternal mercy and grace.
