Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Mooney, age 81, are scheduled for 11 AM, Thursday, April 21, 2022 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Mrs. Mooney passed away on Sunday at her home in Alamo. She was born August 8, 1940 to the late Grady and Ollie Mae Goff Tucker. She was a retired District Manager for Family Dollar. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilburn and James Tucker; four sisters, Nell Climer, Jettie Fowler, Ann Moore, and Kay Ballard; and one grandchild, Kristen Word. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Mr. David Mooney; one son, David Bruce Mooney; one daughter, Celia Word (Daniel); four grandchildren, Krystal Word, Samuel Mooney, Joshua Mooney, and Kraig Word; and seven great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kamron, Karson, Kayson, Samuel, Kayden, and Taylor. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 4-8 PM and on Thursday, 9-11 AM.
