Raymond Anthony Tomaszewski, age 80, of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, February, 10, 2013. Visitation will be Tuesday, 10-11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church with his funeral mass following at 11:00 a.m. Father Don Forsythe will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Tomaszewski was a native of Gaylord, Michigan, served in the Army from 1954-56, was retired from Reynolds Metals and was employed with Foremost Dairies for ten years. He was preceded in death by his parents; Anthony and Angeline (Nellie) Damer Tomaszewski; wife, Maudine Tomaszewski, and daughter in law, Leslie Tomaszewski.
He is survived by his sons; Gary and Tim, and loving daughter-in-law, Laine; grandchildren Brandi , Kevin, and Tyler; great grandchildren, Paige and Kylie and his loving dog and companion, Abby.
Pallbearers are Gerald Robbins, Ed Knoblock, Wayne Chaney, Cecil Mitchell, Mark Pettus, Hunter Killen, Kevin Tomas, Tyler Tomas and Henry Long.
Honorary Pallbearers are Troy Brewer Jr., Joel Brown, Steve Bigbee and all his City Restaurant coffee shop buddies.
The family expresses special thanks to Dr. David Cozart and Dr. Terrance Hart.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
