Wilma Jean MajorsWilma Jean Majors, age 79, was born October 14, 1942 in Rupert, West Virginia. She moved with her parents Boyd & Melda Cadle & sister, LuQuita to Birmingham, AL and then to West Blocton, AL where she was part of the West Blocton Senior Class of 1961. “Jean” as she preferred to be called, moved to Hamilton, AL with her family in 1977. She was an avid lover of yard sales, flea markets, and meeting new people. Jean started what became known as “Jean’s Plunderin’ Place”, hosting sales practically every weekend for over 40 years in the Hamilton community.

Jean was an active member of Mt. Hope Baptist, Fairview Baptist, Grace Christian and Lakeview Holiness churches over her almost five decades in Hamilton. Jean loved to sing and was active in the special music and youth groups in each of her churches.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Boyd & Melda Cadle, and her husband, Bobby Majors. She is survived by her sister, LuQuita Burns of West Blocton, AL and her children, Greg Majors (Jill) of Atlanta, GA, Kevin Majors & Alisha Doss of Hamilton, AL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dani & Haley Majors of Atlanta, Derek Doss & Ciera Majors both of Hamilton, as well as several great grandchildren, nephews and cousins, family and friends.

Visitation: 11;30 -1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Marion County Funeral Home.

Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Marion County funeral Home

Interment: Hamiltom Memory Gardens
