Drug Bust In Elkmont Nets One Suspect Arrested and One Pound Of Methamphetamine

ELKMONT-The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement concerning a drug investigation that has resulted in the arret of one suspect:

“A drug investigation, that has been ongoing for several months, resulted in a search warrant that was executed on a home located in the 17000 Block of Morris Rd. in Elkmont, AL. The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Special Response Team executed this warrant, with the assistance of ALEA’s Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force.
Upon execution of the search warrant, investigators located and seized approximately one pound of methamphetamine, narcotics related currency, two firearms, prescription drugs, and approximately two pounds of marijuana.
• Eric Cordelle Bass, 33, of Elkmont, AL, has been charged with 2 counts of Drug Trafficking, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bass remains in the Limestone County Detention Center. No bond has been set for Bass, at this time.
STATEMENT FROM LIMESTONE COUNTY SHERIFF, JOSHUA MCLAUGHLIN:
“I am extremely proud of the dedication of our investigators that continue to remove these dangerous drugs out of our community. The teamwork of the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office and our local and state partners is important in making these arrests possible.”
