It is with regret we announce the passing of Mr. Andy Joe Cashion, age 92, of Fayetteville, TN. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 10 am at Park City Baptist Church with Bro. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow beside his wife Ann Graham Cashion in Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday, January 28, 2022, from 5pm to 8pm at Higgins Funeral Home.

Joe was born July 6, 1929, in Lincoln County, to the late Clarence and Annie Damron Cashion. Joe worked for Bell South for 31 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Workers of America. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the Golden Gloves State Boxing Champion. Joe was a faithful member of the Park City Baptist Church where he served as deacon and past chairman of the deacons and a member of the long-range planning committee. He was also a significant part of the church fish fry and was known for his hushpuppies. Joe passed away January 21, 2022, at NHC Healthcare in Lewisburg.

He is survived by three sons, Chris (Jyl) Cashion of Houston, TX, Greg (Beth) Cashion of Nashville, and Joel (Teresa) Cashion of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Amie (Johnny) Schexnayder, Ashlie (Andrew) Pereiras, Christina Cashion, Molly Cashion, Lee Cashion, Kristin (Jay) Colbert, Drew Cashion, Austin Cashion, Brady (Haley) Fitch, and Ryan (Cynthia) Fitch; great-grandchildren, Madison Brungardt, Dexter Schexnayder, Catherine Pereiras, Mark Pereiras, William Pereiras, Kilar Pace, Charlie Colbert, Gray Colbert, Ethan Fitch, Alexa Fitch, Hunter Fitch, Maddie Fitch and Eliana Fitch; sister-in-law, Wilma Cashion; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ann Graham Cashion; sisters Marjorie Gray and Hazel Dickey; and brothers, Max Cashion, and Horace Cashion.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Park City Baptist Church, 2809 Huntsville Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334, or charity of your choice.
