It is with regret we announce the passing of Frances Irene Blevins, age 95, of Fayetteville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Monday at Higgins.
Irene was born January 18, 1927, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Hugh Thomas and Ellen Nora Massey. She retired from Walmart after 24 years as a door greeter. Irene was a member of Vanntown Baptist Church. She loved gardening and spending time with her family. Irene will truly be missed by everyone. She was a great Moma, she loved her children, and she will always be the Queen of her family. Irene passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at Donalson Care Center. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Donalson Care Center and Lincoln Medical Home Health and Hospice.
Survivors include her children, Phillip (Bonnie) Manley, Linda Dannon, Mike (Linda) Blevins, Cindy Gardner, Paul (Rosie) Blevins, Shari Hopkins (Chris Patterson); twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark “Bud” Blevins.
