Ann Cosper McNaron

Ann Cosper McNaron, 97, passed away January 15. She was preceded in death by her husband, former city councilman, Abner C. McNaron, and sisters, Mary Moore, Elizabeth Jo Bolden, and Katie Scott.

Survivors include sister, Frances Reeves Pounds; and niece, Deborah Prescher.

Mrs. McNaron was an active member at First Christian Church where she served as a board member, chairman of deaconesses, and chairperson for the pictorial directory of church members. Other activities included secretary for Huntsville Beautification Board, actively served for the Arts Council of Huntsville, and as a tour guide for wives of visiting dignitaries involving historical areas and other interesting sites. At NASA, she was the personal historian for Magnus Von Braun (brother of Dr. Werner Von Braun) in the early years of the missile program for future missile testing. She was a protocol officer at Redstone Arsenal after returning to government work.

Services will be rescheduled due to COVID, and announced at a later date.
