Juanita Mae Dell, 88, of Athens, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at her home. She was born in Gardner, Massachusetts on November 15, 1933, to Arthur and Lucille Darby Froberg.

Mrs. Dell is survived by her three daughters Debra Dell of Athens, Dawn Copes (William) of Seffner, Florida, Kathy Bullington (Alan) of Athens; one sister Gloria Burton of Rockford, Illinois; grandchildren Teal Hunter, Chelsey Copes, Scott Copes, Lucas Bullington, Maggie Bullington, Isaac Bullington (Karmen), Martha Joy Bullington; great-grandchildren Avry Baer, Gabriel Petkovsek, and Kristen Bullington.

Mrs. Dell was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Donald W. Dell; her parents; sister Sharon Akins; brother Kent Froberg; and grandson Brandon Copes.

Nita worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years. She loved God and Jesus. She dutifully lived her life in devotion to God, faithful and obedient to Him. Nita was the wife of an elder and preacher, faithful in submission and respect to her husband. She was a homemaker, a caring mother, a loving grandmother, and a caregiver to her parents and husband. Nita was hospitable to the brethren, and a teacher of children and ladies. She blessed others by exemplifying a cheerful, uplifting, and grateful spirit.

She was a member of Pepper Road Church of Christ.

Funeral service for Mrs. Dell will be Thursday, January 20, 2022 at McConnell Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rick Liggin officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Pike Township Cemetery in Graymont, Illinois Saturday, January 22nd, at 11:00 am.
