Mildred McConnell, age 92, of Leoma, TN passed away Saturday, February 02, 2013 at her daughter’s residence in Leoma, TN. She was a native of Five Points, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church.
Her parents were the late Parish and Lila Dendy Norwood. She was also preceded in death by her husband Bill McConnell; four brothers, Lawrence Norwood, Gene Norwood, James Norwood, and Herman Norwood; and four sisters, Geneva Norwood, Alene Norwood, Ruth Weathers, and Polly McConnell.
She is survived by

1 Son – Sam McConnell, Leoma, TN
4 Grandchildren – M. J. Leighton, Leoma, TN
– Joey McConnell, Leoma, TN
– Amanda Schisler, Leoma, TN
– Jared McConnell, Leoma, TN
2 Great Granddaughters – Anna Beth Schisler, Leoma, TN
– Jessie Schisler, Leoma, TN
1 Brother – Bobby Norwood (Bobby), Five Points, TN
1 Sister – Winnie Dell Sewell (Dale), Leoma, TN
1 Sister-in-law – Adina Norwood, Five Points, TN
Several Nieces and Nephews and two special friends and caregivers, Franny Schisler and Emily Fife also survive.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 05, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 06, 2013 with James Lemay officiating. Interment will follow at Center Point Baptist Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.
