Russell Hobson “Rusty” Palmer, 61, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Helen Keller Hospital, Sheffield, AL. He was born in Adrian, MI and worked in sales as a blind vendor.
Services will be Friday, January 14, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years – Linda Palmer; five children – Michael McCullar (Angelica), Trista Holmes, Nicole Brooks (Aaron), Ashley Hunderman (Bill) and Derrick Nichols; grandchildren – Kaleb Scott, Austin Scott, Logan Holder, Dreyton Holder, Abigail Hunderman, Adeline Hunderman, Mason Hunderman, Alexia Brooks, Autumn Brooks, Anna Nichols, Maeleigh Holmes and Jacob Holmes; several great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister – Alan Palmer, Barry Palmer, Tracy Hood and Gary Graham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Bonnie Humphries Palmer and a son, Keelan Holder.
Visitation will be Friday, January 14, 1-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
